46 South Tour

This is exciting new tour development for NZ Adventures and part of the wish of  the  owners of the business to offer multi day 4WD trips right across the South Island. The trip is loosely based along the 46th parallel, an imaginary line that crosses Southland. The tour is offered  once annually.

46 South is a 5 day tour, but is unlike any of the other  tours NZ adventures currently offer. It is diverse and wide ranging covering virtually the full width of the island. Highlights will include, the Catlins, Hokonui Hills, Bill Richardsons Truck Museum, sheep and cattle stations of Western Southland including   Wairaki Station , a road deep into Fiordland, and the last day spent on stations in the Northern Southland area and the Nevis Road.

The trip is best suited to experienced off road drivers with suitable vehicles. The isolated nature of one of the overnights means that on that occasion facilities will be shared and much more basic than is ordinarily the case with NZ Adventures. Entrants will need to carry a sleeping bag.
